someone told me that you cant turbo and automatic is this true?

Tell him that he's not alowed into the [sm=smiley35.gif]car community anymore. He probably drives a SMART car, am I right?

I hope he was high when he told you that... auto's just arent as much fun as manuals, plus you are losing out on alot of power. In other words... an auto can DEFINATELY be turbo'd

cool thanks i told him that he was wrong even though i wasnt sure but i was like man your crazy you can tubo an auto but i figuredi would ask just in case...i think he was driving like a 02 or 03 grand marquie...a family man but maybe he had like a twin turbo supra at home or sumthin...? lol a turbo'd d16 mannie vs a turbo's d16 auto whats the hp difference do you know?

hes pretty dumb if he says that. the auto wont hande as much power but you can still do it

Not only can you turbo an auto, you can kick a lot a ass with one. Ever drive a turbo (auto) 180sx?

thanks guys .... that makes me feel like its ok to have an auto...a lot of ppl dont like them...i was one of those ppl before i found this car and now its cool...i can eat and drive.lol i cant wait till i have the money to drop in the d16 turbo

im gettin a d16 and im gunna turbo it should i get the stock d16 auto tranny? will this handle the turbo? will it fit my 91 hatch or can i use my dx tranny? i know i can use it on the motor but i dont know if it can handle the turbo thanks for the helo guys

depends on how much boost your planning on pushing... if its like 8 lbs or less you'll be alright.

either should be fine under low boost... if you plan on bumping it up in the near future then go for the D16 tranny now.
