Dont you hate it when somone follows you for a few miles then hits it for no reason without any warning whatsoever? Today while going to pick up my rental tux, I have a clean-looking red mustang GT that is riding my ass. Stainsless steel inserts in the MUSTANG bumper, and some nice rims. Very shiny. He shows no interest in playing, and no interest in racing. I go about my merry way. About 3 miles down the road he gets on the side of me. I happen to glance over and see him fiddling with his shifter (knew he was about to downshift). I wasnt about to let the same thing happen to me that happened this morning (Let a fox-body get a 2 second headstart, he never stopped pulling ; ; ).
I instantly downshifted to 2nd and hit it. Vtec triggered right as he went WOT. I pulled through 2nd, and then he stayed at my back bumper untill we shut down due to a redlight. At the redlight I heard his rpm's go up so I did the same. Put the RPMs up to 6000, and right as I got there the light turned green. I feathered the clutch and kept the car in v-tec through the whole launch. I looked over, and to my great surprise, I had gotten the holeshot on a RWD car. Roflcopter. I managed to put about 2 carlengths on him before I shutdown for traffic in 4th gear.
I looked over to give me a thumbs up, but he didnt even look over pay attention at all. He just ignored me like we never even raced. Guess I either hurt his feelings, or he was just being an ass. =( I picked up my tux, and then went on my merry way.

I figured I would repost this in this section, as it only got 62 hits in the other.

You mean you cant tell when vtec kicks in? Ive never driven a B series motor, but when my car hits 5000rpms the exhaust note changes, gets extremely loud, the accelleration changes, and it snaps my head back a tiny bit.

Nice kill. I hate it when drivers can't be cool about losing. I guess I can understand them being pissed off though.
