hey guys ! does anyone know where i might be able to get a hold of a new racing head for my 99 si ?? thanks for ur help ! just so we r not confused ! (not header ) the head ) thanks
The cheapest route would be to go with Skunk2 stage two cams, retainers, valve springs, etc... right around 1400. Then a port and polish.
Or you could TRY to find an integra type R head. Same head as on the b16, just more agressive cams, and it breathes better. (among a few other smallish details)

your best bet is what ntx said.
yup same castings. differences being cams, and a port job .

the type r head also has dual valve springs on both the intake and exhaust sides, as well as lighter valves and retainers. thats why it can rev higher than the b16a head. not a bad upgrade, but they are pretty expensive. also remember that you will also have the stock head to sell.

Yes, there's a "Replacement for Displacement". Its called Volumetric Efficiency.

Bump up the fuel shut off and a b16a2 will rev to 8400-8500 easily, but it's not going to give you much of a gain on the stock cams/valvetrain.
have fun. reving a stock b16a to 8500 will float the valves and toast the motor. you might get away with it for a while, but not long. you'd better upgrade the valve springs first.

The B16a2 will be fine up to 8500 rpm... stock the fuel cutout is 8200. Another 300 rpm isn't going to do that much to the motor. But I do agree, it is wiser to upgrade the valve springs and retainers.
but do the stock cams even produce power at that high of an rpm? ive never seen the dyno plots of the stock b16 cams but im sure it doesnt produce much power that high. ive got the cam specs somewhere for all b series vtec heads......somewhere.
