Default RE: Easyist way to swap?

K i am in the middle of my swap now... and i am kind of stuck haha i am swaping engine and tranny. Well i can't figue out how to get the gear shift apart In the book it it says "remove the clip and drive out the spring pin with a punch" but when i took the clip off there was a hole though the shalft in the hole it what i thought could be the pin but it's like a little tube inside the hole. Like there is a whole and the inside the hole and around the edge of the hole are silver. is that the pin? or what should i do.
