"84-87 1.5L D15A2 (CRX) HF"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_E_engine#EW

EW2 [ul][*]1984-1987 Honda Civic non-CVCC EFI (CDM)[/ul]So my guess is that you have the D15A2 or the EW2. It seems like your engine's carbureted. Welcome to the club I have a d15a2 in my '87 civic. You're the only other person I know who drives a carbureted civic here.

Now, on the "CRX" entry of wikipedia, it says "The original 1.3 liter car and the later American-market CRX HF model could reliably achieve better than 50 mpg, more than a decade before gas-electric hybrids appeared on the market, and at no price premium over the base model; the 1.3 liter was rated at 51 mpg for CITY and 60mpg highway." This also leads me to believe that you have a 1.3 liter engine. If so...then it's neither of the 2 listed above. Do you have a door jamb or manual that you can consult?

i know its a 1.5l 8 valve carburated 57hp but i dont know the engine model. i thought it was a d15 but im pretty sure those are all 12 valves? i have a little bit done to it but its still not too fast, and so i need to know the engine model no. so i can buy a little performance.
