Hey all,

Just curious to see if people would be interested in a late June meet to drive down about 30 miles of skyline drive.

For those that don't know what it is, it's a road along the top of some mountains in western Virginia (not west virginia).

Basically we'd be looking at like a 9am rally somewhere near the intersection of VA RT 340 and I-66 (I'm thinking South St & Hill St, Front Royal VA by satelite view)

Then shoot for a 10am line of cars to enter the park ($15 a car). Cruise down to the picnic area at mile marker 24 to have a BYOBBQ lunch (tables & BBQ grills present, food & charcoal are not)

Improv a photoshoot (whoever wants to take pictures can type thing)

Leave picnic around 2ish to cruise 8 miles to the Thorton Gap entrance, and cruise VA 211 towards 29 & meet back at 66. potential for rolling photoshoot along the way.

it's like the dragon, so limit is 35mph, and it's really a cruise... I'd hate to see anyone trying to tear ass down it, so it'd have to be with the understanding that there's no racing, passing etc.

Basically in order to do this, we'd need to get a permit for the use as if there's a large enough interest, we'd have quite a few people.

I was thinking June 28 or 29 (weekend before 4th of July). Open to all Honda/Acura (and I suppose others as well).

If people would rather a different weekend, we can try to figure something out, but I'd love for it to be on the 28th or 29th of June (29th is my b'day, and I'm fairly certain I can convince my wife to let us go out that way with both of our cars for some fun, even if it is with a bunch of crazy strangers)

FYI the entrance in front royal is about 90 minutes from the beltway.

I'm also asking around on some other forums as well.
