I dont know if this will stay active enough to make it to the HCF project section, but I'll use this to keep everyone updated on my progress anyhow. As far as I've gotten so far is to strip the engine to a bare block and clean everything. I've also got some Tuner Toys rods on the way, I'll have some shots comparing them to the stock pieces when they get here.

Here's my workspace, I'm having to compete with christmas storage and and 4 bikes..

The deck of the block

Cylinder Bore

Crank journals

The anemic honda rods and pistons

Crank girldle

Oil pan, pickup, and pump

Factory hardware in labled baggies

Last but not least, I got head

My big goal is a 300hp+ panty dropping teal speed machine. Rods, pistons, built head, 50-something trim t3/t4, obx lsd, and tuned on either crome or hondata S100. Just think flip, thats what your rods look like and you're boosting Thanks for the luck..I need it

yes yes i know, i'm more worried about my rings, but rods are still a concern. Anyway, that thing should be sick, good luck! I'd prolly go with Hondata if i was doing anything more than 200-250 hp. Just from what Sov says Crome can be pretty buggy, especially recognizable by an experienced tuner, so i think the Hondata would be a good idea for you.

EDITED for grammar, i have no idea why i misspelled so many words lol

Little update, just ordered my 75.5mm vitaras. I got them in a kit with rod bearings and rings for about $160 after shipping. I got it from here http://fjdistributors.com/index.php

little FYI on the tuner toys rods, you will ahve to have them machined to fit a wrist pin and the width of the top upper part of the rod because its to wide to fit inside any piston(s) like cp, wiseco, JE, SRP, Ross and im pretty sure vitaras as well. Mine are at the machine shop now and ands its costing me $135 to have the work done to the rods. so those $250 dollar rods just turned into $385 dollar rods, if you can send them back and get eagles so you get the 2000 bolts and they are all ready to go and machined

Damn, I wish I would have known. It'd be a 20% restocking fee if I send them back. I guess I'll stick with the TT rods for now because of the hassle of sending them back
