they sell 110 octane here at a local auto part's store. they call it c10. anyway i'm sure it is unleaded. we have run it in my partners cr125 dirtbike and it smoked the tire down when you barely touch the throttle. i'm gonna buy a few gallons when i go to the track try it out in the hb see what happens. never seen c10 at a pump tho, that must be nice.

ORIGINAL: milanoCTRjonuk in the uk every station has 95 unleaded, 98Superunleaded and at shell garages its 99'Optimax' and then thers this wierd dark coulourd one that says DIESEL...No idea wot thats for... ahh, now i understand. you guys use the research octane numbers, and we use the R+M/2 octane, which is about 4-5% lower than the research number, so its closer than it seems.

actually, i think its even more of a difference than that. but it also has almost 3X the torque of the swapped civic. not to mention the 150 more hp.

i got 13.33 for the ram, which brings the advantage down to about 1.4 pounds per hp, then you figure the torque/weight ratios. civic-2385 lbs (which is probably a bit light, but we'll stick with this number) Ram Hemi-4600 lbs civic-134 lb-ft at best Hemi-375 lb ft civic-17.798 Hemi-12.266 thats a 5.532 pounds per pound foot difference. pretty significant advantage goes to the truck.

I don't know where you got 13.3 lbs per HP for the Ram. Inaccurate... Anyway, HP serves more purpose.... Torque/weight ratio really doesn't mean much. The torque is what gave the Ram the better start, but in the end, the Civic's lbs/hp ratio was better. In saying all this, the Ram is way too heavy to compete. It doesn't matter if it had the HEMI. It's a truck, built for towing, payload and offroading........ not racing. In short, unless it was an SRT-10, Lightning or an SS, it's not saying much.
