hehehe...ah I lol at the race.
I drive a Hemi QC pickup and just so you all don't shout...just bought a 95 Civic HB.
Beating the ram isn't all that hard...the darn computer does more work then you do. The fly by wire throttle has lag, and did we mention the CPU cuts the power during shifts so as not to detonate the tranny?? Oh yeah...not one stock HEMI ever came close to hitting the famed 345HP. More like 260 stock. LOL On a side note I know of three Hemis that have run consistant 12 sec 1/4s and one that is trying for 11s. NOS is a rough thing to do to an engine, but its just money right??
Good kill...I know I'd have done anything to light 'em off and race away.

im curious on your "none of the hemis get near 345"...i disagree strongly...my brother has dyno'ed his truck...i emaile to him find out what it did..i dont recall...i know it was a WHP measure, but it wasnt NEARLY as bad as you make out...you do know that 260 would be WHP...and the advertised 345 is at the crank...right?

however, i do agree with the awful throttle control...

***update...i got ahold of him...
On a drive-on dyno, he pulled 272 at the wheels...stock....which using the assumed 25% drivetrain loss, comes to 340.

with I/E he dyno'ed to 282 horsepower on the computer dyno using his trap speed, ET, and weight...and thats at the rear wheels....assuming a 25% drivetrain loss, that comes to 352.5 hp.

What year does he have? the 03's where a tad stronger. Does he have the TCM mod? (only 03) Chip, NOS?...17" or 20"...they all make a difference. Still for a Quad Cab truck tipping the scales at close to 6000lbs...0-60 in 7 sec is pretty good. Just wish I could find the full 345 at the wheels...not at the crank.(like a ford)

he has an 02, he does not have the TCM mod...he does not have any non-bolt up mods...K&N filter, and catback...he does have 17s, not 20s...where on a wheel dyno the rotational mass and your LWB will hurt you...

and i again beg to differ that ford measures their hp at the wheels for advertising...every company in the world advertises HP at the crank...for instance, the new cobra which doesnt technically exist yet, has 450hp...that is not WHP...thats at the crank...

25% drivetrain losses? and you guys make fun of FWDs? WTH??? hondas its more like 10-15%, usually leaning toward the 10%

i dont make fun of FWDs...? are you saying that my 25% assumed loss is too much to be assumed, or youre just stating why you prefer FWD?

i think hes just saying if you lose 25% on RWD then its a wonder why domestics make fun of civics which only lose 10% or so
