refinishing the aluminum engine to the factory state
 

Is there anyway to restore the aluminum engine parts to the factory silver finish? I sprayed the intake manifold with a toxic oven cleaner and now it's grey and blackish. I've searched high and low but no one has definate answers. I don't intend to paint them with enamels because the heat will eventually peel them off. I just want that original factory shining. Any professional advice?
