Default 1995 civic LX auto to manual questions

Hello I have the 95 civic Lx and hate the automatic tranny in it. Its great for grandma but not me. A guy at work said he might have a 5 speed that needs 3rd gear syncros(maybe he beat the **** out of it??). I dont know if hes gonna sell it to me or give it to me. Not sure how expensive it would be for me to put syncros in it and what else hes not telling me.
ANY way he told me the automatic ecu detunes the engine and I need a manual ecu? The write up here didnt say anything about that. Or is he partially correct? An auto ecu left unmodified, will detune the engine? ......So far reading into all this I need the manual transmission harness, clutch pedal, clutch pedal sensors, master and slave cylinder, lines(should be able to make those, flywheel, pilot bushing or bearing, tranny mounts, shifter, Cable(not sure), axles. I can get a tranny for 250 and the salvage yard says he has 7 of them. I wouldnt think I would run into any problems doing this. Im just trying to gather all info before I procede so I can have the smoothest job done. The cable and the ecu thing are the main thing I am wondering if I even need. Forgot to add I have the d15b7 motor.
