It's a good kit, however I highly recommend that you ditch the emanage and get a better fuel management like a chip ecu. Also, buy an intercooler.

Usually you get an used one with an intercooler for about 900-1,200 on turbod16, honda tech classifields or craigslist

At first I wanted to turbo my D16, but was also looking ahead and other engine mods like pistons/rods/ported and polished head. That's a lot of money. And then I found out more about an engine swap, mainly the B16A2. Basically an easy swap, no special installation or extras needed. And with bolt ons and a few other extras, I could achieve my 200hp goal without going turbo. Of course I could add one later, but I'd rather have a more powerful engine with 100k less miles and have more support if I wanted to do anything to it. Also the internals are stronger so upgrading rods/pistons isn't really necessary if you wanted to boost.

That really depends how much hp your are making, I wouldn't go over 250whp on b16 on stock internals just like I won't go over 210whp on a d16 stock internals. The d16 is really good platform to boost because if it blows, they are not that expensive to replace and they have lot's of potential.

I/H/E/upgrade throttle body, high flot cat, ported head, yeah I'm sure you can get 200 whp.

The b16 has about 140whp, it's going to be tough and expensive to get 200whp with the mods you mention. Going that route, you will end up paying more than what it cost to get a d16 in the low 300whp[&:]

turbo setup~ 1,200
Piston and rods ~500
Good 300 whp tune ~500

vs.
B16 ~ last I remember a decentlow milage was around 2,500 (not including the motor mounts and axles)
Headers~ about 200
intake~ 100
tune~500
plus the port polish

In the end it would be more expensive than just boosting the d16. Yes the b16 has more pontential than a d16 but for a daily driver more than 300whp is useless on the street.

If you think that will get you to 200whp, i feel sorry for you when you get it dyno'd and you fall 30-40 hp short of your goal.

wouldn't a port and polish alone help open things up, maybe 30 or so hp. It puts out like 140 or 150 whp right?

to end argument, just boost the b16 and upgrade the rest if you want lol
