Default cheap clutch pilot bearing??

Hello I just bought the zoom perfection clutch kit from summit for 128 bucks, opened the box and the kit had a bearing with a red dust seal. Only one problem.....the bearing had something droppd on the seal. So I went back to the counter and got another kit. This time the pilot seal didnt have a rubber seal. Instead it had a metal dust cover. Are these better? Or should I try and find the right seal with a rubber seal instead of a metal shield?
