Default Torque Converter Code

Hi everyone, new member. Looks like there's some knowledgeable folks here, I hope you can help.
2001 Civic EX Coupe A/T, I just started getting a P0740 code, which points to the lock up control being the issue. I did some research & found a HOnda note saying don't replace the tranny til you've replaced the Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Valve and the A/T Clutch Pressure Control Valves A and B. The problem is, where are they? My Haynes book says if you're removing the A/T, unconnect the above solenoid & valves, but gives no notes as to where they are. Am I better off having my mechanic do it, or is it something I can get to myself without too much trouble.
Basic mechanical skills, I just changed a timing belt on my Pathfinder. But don't have much experience with transmissions.
Thanks for any help.
