Really?  When was the last time you charged a car battery at home and checked the electric bill?

thats why you buy some SOLAR panels, and use the sun ;)

i like these little solar charges. i put them in all my parked cars when they are outside and they keep the batteries with enough charge to start them up every time :)

Price of electricity (in Seattle)
$0.07/kwh

Total cost to charge electric car
$42.846

Price per mile
$0.030

Price of gas (in Seattle)
$3.18/gallon

To get this same price per mile using Gas you would need to get...
106/mpg

INFO CLICKY

but i would never drive a electric car, just would not be the same.

mind if I ask how in the world did you get 3 cents a mile??  I got 15 cents/mile and that is optimistic...pretty much the same as gasoline.

well electric cars are more for the enviroment! if you use solar power to charge the car then its completly emisions free.... the GO GREEN ;)

but most new cars have both a gas and electric motor so the gas powered one can charge the batteries while driving.

someone needs to destroy those countries, US needs to take over all the oil, and they need to charge us half of what gas is today. Last year I predicted regular gas will be $4.00 by the end of 2008, it could happen.

I think that'll be the only way for me to get a bike is if gas just keeps being rediculous.

Solar is still not efficient enough... and I calculated my figures and got 15 cents a mile:)  The only thing that happens with plug-in cars is centralized pollution.
