CVT delayed engagement - 3/12/2008 7:31:06 AM    reverendwallis   Posts: 2 Joined: 3/12/2008 Status: offline I have a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid.   I wondered if it was normal during the cold winter to have a significant delay before the CVT clutch engages while the car is cold.  When I say significant I mean 3-5 seconds.  Once the car is warmed up there is no delay at all.  I am from northern Michigan so winter means temperatures well below freezing continuously.  Post #: 1
