I have a 2005 Honda Civic Hybrid.   I wondered if it was normal during the cold winter to have a significant delay before the CVT clutch engages while the car is cold.  When I say significant I mean 3-5 seconds.  Once the car is warmed up there is no delay at all.  I am from northern Michigan so winter means temperatures well below freezing continuously.

I have read about other people who had the same problem you did, and they said it was normal. Its sounds normal to me since after the car is warmed up you no longer experience the problem.
