Default Rear brake conversion

Hi i currently have rear drum and shoe brakes but am thinking of upgrading to discs and pads. Is there any extra braking power from doing this and is it worth it. what parts will i need?

the upgrade is well worth it. You will get better stopping power going that route instead of getting a big brake kit for the front.
