Default RE: Which sub is better?

Neither, it's all preference
although I personally prefer the RE
the kicker has a better sensitivity for volume, but in subs that can change on a whole new dimension dependent on box size and type
the RE is 4 ohm while the kicker is 8
the RE seems to have a better cone material
Judging by a few small things listed I think the RE is better for quality and will still put out a bit volume
but is the 50 - 70 dollar price difference worth it? Probably not
although I like RE a LOT more than kicker, if i were in your situation I'd go with kicker
the 70 extra dollar difference won't be as noticeable as you think
the subs are fairly similar, but in a whole different class
sorry if this post needs more clarifying but i'll explain when I get home from the university, as of now im already late lolol

Default RE: Which sub is better?

I got a SE the very first month they came out. I love it so much that even after upgrading it back in 2005 I still will never sell it. If I downgrade from my current 15 or feel my gf deserves my SE, it will then be used. The sub has great lowend output with awesome sound quality! I highly recommend it!

Which T1 12? the D2 or the D4?

It also depends on what amp you're running them through

Default RE: Which sub is better?

It would be the D4 model. Im only going to be using one sub and I want a 2 ohm load on the amp. So, the dual 4 ohm sub will be perfect. I am using the Rockford Fosgate P300.1 mono amp. It only pushes about 300 - 400 watts rms, but it gets the job done. : )

I'd get the T1
I'm putting a T1 D2 in my 04 civic.
They hit hard but there is no distortion, the sound quality is impecable.
I have a pretty biased opinion though, I don't really know anything about the RE

I'd prefer an RE
they're slick etc.
the subs are in the same class so it doesn't matter TOO much
I'd also pick it because few people have that, but tons have alpine or rockford or sony

ok kewl. thats the kind of info I was wanting. : )

How does the Fockford Fosgate P3D412 (newer series) compare to the RE SE12? Is it close comparison or does it even touch the RE....or is the P3 better?
