Well on that day i was lazy and used my quick ice wax. You just spray and buff. If i really wanted a deeper shine i would have used my speed bead from stoner (the people who make invisible glass) i think that is my fav wax but it takes a little longer to do and buff out. So went with my inbetween wax

@99lx looks like a very nice shine. Wished the sun was more out so i could see it sparkle. Give it an 8

This thread would be way better with the following items..

1 - List of your process, products, and tools
2 - Decent Quality pics
3 - Any tips and tricks you may use that others may not.

Both that have posted so far look pretty good. IMO Ice is on the top 5 worst waxes ever, but to each his own.

If Michigan ever thaws, I'll get the suby detailed and get some pics up.

(Possibly my favorite night picture, and my halos arn't on, its just how the light reflected into them I guess. I love the shines in this picture, it was the night when I washed/waxed my Civic)

Well.. I used a car wash, because it was still a little chilly, and I used Turtle Wax, because thats all I could find. I need to go into autozone sometime and get me some Mother's and some other detailing stuff, i'm not satisfied with my shine lol.. I want it SHINE like no other :D.

Haha, thanks [8D]. I dunno if i'm still feeling the altezza lights, I mean.. They look okay. If anything, i'd wanna smoke 'em a little, i'm sure they would look sick if I did :D. And when I get my rims/tires ordered, it'll look ALOT better(If wheelmax ever gets my rims in stock.. Bastards, they sell so fast lol).

yeah not a big fan of the euro and altezza lights. Think the stock lights look better and if would have just smoked the stock ones. Also before you get rims man i think you should get it lowered first. It sits way too high now. So get it lowered if the place don't got your rims and just save up for that later. But good headlights though. What kind of headlights you got and how much did it cost and where you get it from?

Nice shine, though. Wish I could get that same look on my Civic, but it's gold so it's not the same.

Finally got around to putting some effort into a decent detail yesterday. Didn't go all out, but I'm pretty pleased with the results.

Products: Meguires Gold Class Car Shampoo, 3M Glass cleaner, Mother's Back to Black trim treatment, Armor All, Black Magic Tire Foam, Royal Blue Carnauba Wax.

Process: I didn't have the time nor the energy to completely wheel the car, claybar or polish, but will do all of those next time. All I did for this round was a good hand wash and dry, then broke out the orbital and laid on a nice layer of wax. It turned out decent, but without running the clay and wheeling out the paint, there are still some imperfections.

Also have a TON of wet sanding to do on the front bumer...weak ass Suby paint. Anyway, heres some pics

I had a detailing job last night. 2001 Ford Thunderbird. Tons of small scratches, road tar (that had been on since LAST summer), swirls/cob webs, etc. I did a wash, full claybar, non-aggressive cuttingpolish in spots, and Wax (Zymol).

The Zymol wax produced a nice shine, but lacked the depth I like to see, and was a bitch to remove the excess. It dried very fast, and powdered, which I hate. Anyway, onto the pics

Did the Suby again two nights ago. This time I actually took the buffer to it. It still needs to be clayed, and cut insome areasbut I didn't have the energy. I think next spring I'm going to have the entire front end resprayed, as there are hundres of rock chips and the clear is cracked in some spots. Whoever owned it before me had a shotty respray done...asshat

Mequires Wax, Random Orbit buffer, Invisible Glass, Armor All, Mothers Aluminum Polish, Blue Coral Wheel Cleaner, and lots of Bug n' Tar remover. Also used cutting polish to remove that yellowish BS on the headlights. I didn't have any tire dressing either, gay

Is that your vehicle, btw? It's good for you ! Good luck with your upcoming power adder build. Don't forget to take inventory ( wink, wink )
