Flip.....are you talking to me? With me its just a money situation. I'm getting everything together, requesting a week off work and then installing it all. I'd get a FMIC no matter what. You're probably gonna run a straight pipe horizontally through your front bumper, just get a nice little intercooler and put it in the piping right there. If i was you though, i'd completely build the y8, get the whole turbo setup ready to go, everything installed that you can before the swap, then like i said find a free week, pull the engine and drop the new one in, swap the ECU's and then install the rest of the stuff you couldn't install beforehand. $1500 is a GREAT start, and if you have a steady job i bet you'd be able to make up the unknown costs that are gonna pop up. If you're getting like $200-$300 paychecks each week even, that'll do you fine IMO.

who else is named Flip How come you think I should completely build the engine? I'm only planning on 6-7psi on a small turbo. I was thinking of maybe.. maybe putting in a more aggresive camshaft. I hear the rods are the d's weakest points but unless your boosting over 10 psi I thought they were safe. ya for the job part... currently unemployed . So moneys slim right now lol. But I'm just planning ahead for down the road.
