sorry but mitz are garbage. i would never own an evo. theres no point for them. If you want a track car buy an m3

possibly one of the most ignorant statements i've ever heard.

hows that?

Because "sorry but mitz are garbage" does nothing to educate since you give no reasons, or what part of them you think is garbage.

"there's no point for an evo"  what? how about as a really fast, relatively cheap car with four door practicality.

"if you want a track car, buy an m3"  besides being out of the price range of the others, (at least for the same year models), this is far from a track car.  It is a compromise car just like the other two, it is designed to be fun, but still have some practicality for daily drivability.

"i would tell you to get an e36 m, but i feel that might go on deaf ears on this forum considering the previous comment. "

Not deaf ears, just ones that expect a post to have some semblance of support and rationality.

DCA, just wanted to say sorry, i don't want to sound like an ass.  It was far from my intention to call you out or anything, i was just saying that a post with those comments is almost useless since it has no explanation behind it and contributes largely biased opinions not based on fact.

I didn't think this post would go this far.  I am just looking for a car that is a daily drive but able to get some power out of it.  But did Mitz make a rear differential for the Evo to reduce rear tire scuffing during turns?  But i think i might go to the Evo because of the 4 door.  But i am still unsure.  I just have to wait and test drive both of them, to see which i like more.  Any body know if you go to Mitz do they let you test drive an Evo or do they take you for a ride?  just curious because I need to test drive one to help out my final option.  Thanks all for who gave me feed back!!  keep up with the comments.

lol no worries blinker..i understand your point..

My personal experiences with mitz and the evo exclusively has not been good. The headache you will have from problems with that car are to much to be worth it unless.. again your just using it as a track car. But he wants a drag car. in that case buy a 04 gt and supercharge it for the same cost and own all evos. the evo is pointless because to me its just an over boosted waist of time. Yes the four doors and awd are nice and yes its fast but...so is an srt-4.. and those are garbage too. you can overbost anything. still doesnt make it a good race car.

and yes, a new m is gonna cost you. i was talking about like a 97. which run about 10-15k. you can boost or supercharge that with low psi and eat and evo on the race track (not strip) and you will have a very solid motor with a proper power curve instead of a car that runs slower then a stock cavalier if its rpms arnt correct. once again. my advice to him. when you start playing the which will win in a quarter mile game.. pick a proper drag car. take advantage of what us americans do best.

I'd take the 350, fort you must not have driven one if you think the handling is crap.  ....and sound amazing with the factory exhaust.  To each his own I guess....

Couldn't be more wrong, I actually drove the piss out of a 350z.  It oversteers on corners with elevation changes under heavy acceleration, and I dont like that.  Its just an overall sloppy car and I couldn't get used to the feel.  I'm fairly certain that if I could lap it on a track a couple times, it would be easily outdrivable, and I'd put it into a wall.  It's a low priced penis extension and nothing more, imo

but anyone can go out and just buy an awd turbo'd car and think they have something special...

Show me a better all around car for the money, and I'll eat my words

Also, they respond very well to mods

No, actually they don't.  Basic bolt ons yes, big power adders, no.

if you want a drag car, get an chevy ls2 engine. Don't get a cobra ok. The Ford cobra's have to be supercharged just to stay with a N/A ls2 engine.

Or get an ls1 with a couple on bolts on and a 100hp shot of nitrous, there is no st1 or evo catching up to you. Unless you have a 500+hp sti or evo, you will burn most of the cars out there.

Now if you want some rally type car. Then you have to do research on yourself

I suggest reading this review. Yes its long but its for your own good.

Then look at the video that top gear had  for evo vs sti.

Then get back to us and tell us your view.
