Default HP/TQ help

Heyy everyone, im new.
I am hopefully getting a 1990 Honda civic Dx with around 250 300xxx miles on it.
I was looking at specs, and it only has like 92HP, so im a little worried.
I want it to have atleast 120ish man! And i only got like 1-2grand to spend,
what would be a good investment.
Ive hear of Cold Air Intakes, and Exaust systems/Headers, but what are your ideas,
BTW, im 15 LOL![:-]

Default RE: HP/TQ help

That engine is the D15B2 if I am correct. You can do whats called a mini-me, this is when you take a VTEC head and bolt it to a non-vtec block. Here is a good link...Also, you could try to find a D16Z6 engine for cheap and swap that, but it may cost you more. The mini-me with intake/header/exhaust can net you the power you want.
