RE: trany swap- worth it or not? - 4/10/2008 9:32:29 PM    1slowcivic Posts: 87 Joined: 3/7/2008 Status: offline I am an AUTO fanatic when it comes to putting down the power.  I might be a minority in this forum but that is how I feel.  If your running a boosted engine, there really isn't anything better (more consistant) than an Auto.  If your worried about putting the power to the ground, I used IPT (Import Performance Transmission) for my DSM, but there has to be someone out there that builds Auto Honda's.  I agree with all the guys you know its funner to drive a manual, bla bla bla, but when it comes down to putting the power down, I would choose an auto everytime.  Every play the NFS Carbon games?  You know how hard it is to get that "perferct launch" on those drags?  Well its that way every time when you own a manual, one time you dump it and spin, the next you lug it, the next you hit it.  EVERY time you launch with a "built" Auto you will hit your marks, its just that simple.  Press the break, press the gas, let the break go and your gone.  This is just my opinion, as I have stated before I am the guy that likes to blow your doors off while eating a big mac, sipping my coke, and waving to you as I go by! _____________________________ The Bigger they are the more gas they burn! 2002 Chevy Suburban 6" Procomp, 20" wheels, 35" Tires 2006 Night Runner Quad Cab Dodge Ram Hemi and then some Then there is the civi......bone stock under the hood.....
