ive been told by many friends that the AEM CAI actualy makes you lose HP on the 2007 SI. I guess its been dyno proven that the stock intake is better than the CAI. and i already orderd my cold air so its kind of a kick in the bag. just wondering if anyone ever herd of this?

it really depends on the quality of the filter.

anything that allows more air=more power
anyone that says something that suffocates an engine is better, should stop talking.

Give AEM a call and ask them what they found. Sometimes the benefits or CAI aren't discernable until the temps (both outside and inside) are up there. That's when the CAIs really shine. Most dynos don't mimic real world driving - the hood is open and any air being blown on the engine is far less than when driving on the road at 70 MPH.
