I found this on wikipedia, sacicons:

yeah. wikipedia isnt always right though, and i just did a google search, and found a couple of sites saying it was a b16, and i kind of seem to remember some euro members on here in the past having vtis that came with a dohc vtec.

soo... if i put a new engine block in my car, how much hp and what will it do 2 my car, in terms of preformance??

Man you really need to do some research.  Rather than just asking the most random questions.  It sounds like you just bought your first car and then watched "Fast and the Furious" figure out which engine it is you want then ask that question.

mann, i really dont wont to hear your crap. If you dont want to help dont post a reply. Im after people who no what there talking bout and are willing to give me educated advice, not people like you. I have done my research but nothing beats the advice that is provided on this forum. I no what i want but i dont no if it fits my car. for the people who are interested how do i upload a picture of my engine, 2 see if the block im after can swap into it??

my friend just swapped a b18 long block with a b16 head and it moves. from what i understand, b series are more popular because there the easier of the dohc engine swaps.
