Any vtec engine will fit in your car.  It's just how much work does each one take to put it in.

Easy swaps
-D16z6
-D16y8
-B16
-B18c

Harder swaps
-H22
-F22
-K20
-K24

"Good luck with that" swaps
-F20c
-C30a
-C32b
-J30a1
-J32a
-J35

There's a reason most people on these boards have never heard of half the engine codes from the "good luck with that" category... nobody swaps them in due to the custom work you'd have to do.

Also, I probably missed a few vtec engines... there's a lot of them

I'd get a b16 and build it or buy it built. And if you have extra money, boost it. I'm strongly leaning towards buying a built b16 for my car(currently have a d16 with lots of miles and it's time to get rid of it, but keep the car :)). I don't know how to rebuild an engine and I'm sure it'll cost a lot to get it done locally, so all I have to pay for is just taking out old engine, putting new one in.

boost=turbo

and the engine I was looking at is at dh-racing.com
It's the b16a2 long block for $3750 shipped. I don't know much about turbo's, but I think it may put too much wear on the engine, as it's my daily driver.

Just gotta shift before the turbo really kicks in. Lots to turbo DD's just depends on how you drive it.
