ORIGINAL: inthezoneac wait until you see bluray movies on 1080p :) Been there, TV at home is 1080P but my uncle's projector is 1080i. The projector has a much larger screen (~60 inches). I've also had the projector up to about 110in but since I was playing on a wall and not a projector screen it didn't look as good. I told my uncle to get a 110" Widescreen projector screen which will look sick if he gets it. Projectors are definatly the way to go for theater. COD isn't bad on it either.

I waited the past year to get my PS3, I have been living the life of 720p/1080i and I it looks pretty good for the most part. One of the things I learned, just because its 1080p doesn't make it true 1080p. Examples, go to the store and look at their demo bluerays and its like you can reach you hand in there and just touch it. Example Blueray would be Planet Earth, and on the opposite spectrum look at the movie 5th Element. Even on Blueray it looks like crap! The diff is the camara that the DVD was recorded in. My aunt works for a large corp that rents the 1080i cams and its like 10k an hour, her largest clients are American Chopper, Worlds Dangerous Catch, and Nascar/TNT. She doesn't even have the capablitity to rent out the 1080p cams yet because they are too expensive. If you look at movies that have been digitially enhanced (5th element) and then look at movies like Planet Earth the diff is crazy. And by the way I am DLP all the way. I like the LCD/Plasma's they are nice in their own aspect but my biggest problem is that if anything goes wrong its basically your SOL and you have to get a new unit. With a DLP you have mirrors, lenses, and bulbs to replace before you have to go to the extreme. I have a 73" DLP and I can't say enought about it. Anyway, my recommendation is trade in your PS2 stuff, all of it, go to Gamestop they offere extra deals where if you trade in your PS2 you get an extra $20 bucks to your PS3. I ended up paying $70 for my PS3, and I bought a game in that too. PS: Elder Scrolls IV is insane, love it.
