I finally got around to bringing my cbr out of my dad's workshop (where it's been sleeping for the last 6 months) and out into the front garage. It still needs a battery (and I'll probably need to drain the gas and refill the tank*) before I can ride it, but it sure is nice to walk out into the garage and see my bike's tail sticking out from the little room I park in. Who says you can't do a nice paintjob with spraypaint? And the clearcoat I used is amazing (it's hard to see in the pics)... it's like a metalflake clear, but instead of just the silver flakes, they're all different colors... if you catch the light just right, there's literally a full rainbow across the tank. It might be easier to see here: Also, an astute eye will see that the right-side fairing is not on the bike... I still need to paint it lol (but that's a can of primer, a can of paint, a can of clear, and about 24 hours to do) Also, as you guys can see, the stock windscreen is painted to match... personally, I think it looks sick (even in a full tuck I look over the screen, not through it)... but in case I get tired of it, I used that clearcoat on my old dark smoke screen, too... I love the results: I think I want to get vinyls for the side fairings since that seems like a lot of green in one spot, but I can't decide what I want... I'm thinking either get the stock honda wings in white or maybe a star or something... Or maybe I'll leave the sides alone. *Last season I never got a chance to winter-ize the bike... I filled up the tank one day with full intention of riding for a few more weeks, then my battery keeled over for good (it won't hold a charge).
