How would I go about getting one in there for a low price

check on eBay for an EX or SI clsuter from 96-00. Any of them will work, strictly plug n play.

Those are covers, not gauges.

Okay does it matter if the cluster is coming from an automatic transmission or manual?

I drive a manual btw so should I only be looking at MT clusters?

Yes, I would suggest to buy a manual cluster if your car is Manual. Otherwise, you'll have the "markings" (for lack of better words) on the right for "P", "R", "D", etc. It might not be a perfect plug-and-play if the cluster is for an auto. and you have a 5 spd. Just look around, Ebay sounds like the best place for this if your trying to keep the cost down. Have fun!

Do you know if this is true for Canadian models. I have a 99 EX but it has the same cluster as a DX or LX. Will a USDM cluster from an EX work with my Canadian model? It would be great if it would b/c I don't want an external aftermarket unit on my dash.

I'm fairlycertain that a USDM EX cluster will work in your car.

I drive a canadian honda as well...keep in mind you have to keep a close eye on what you're buying! First of all the guages will be in Miles per Hour (not Kilometers) but other then that it should work fine. Just something to keep in mind... (by the way I have a 97 EX...167,000kms...what do you have on yours?)

Keep in mind canadian civics have different model names

I wasn't to worried about the MPH I just didn't want to buy a cluster and it have the wrong plugs in the back. I have owned a Volvo and a Hyundai both from the US. My Civic has 203000Kms on it. I put 3500 Kms on it in 6 weeks, I love driving this car, probably the best I have ever owned.

to the canadian guys: if you really wanted to have KM as the main unit on the speedometer, you could buy a JDM gauge cluster. They cost more, but i think it'd be sweet to have a type R gauge cluster. I just don't want mine to be in KM. you might find some on eBay, but i know they have some used on passwordjdm.com
