i got a 91 dohc motor sittin in my front yard it was givin to me cause my homboy changed his motor for a b17, so what im sayin is ima throw it in 2 marrow and is it a sure fit i have a 97 4 door civic lx

ok so i pick it up today at the mechanic he says its not gonna just bolt on, the transmision on the LS uses wired (dont no what he means) and my car uses hydraulic (still dont no) so i take the motor anways and i call like 3 other mechanics they say its not gonna fit cause of some stupid **** and now im just goonna sell it, any suggestions are welcomed really wish i could put it in :'(

Well, that's why we usually do our reseach before taking on a project like a swap.
We make sure that we know all the parts we need and most of all we make sure the parts that we have are compatible.
And, you took it to a meachnic to do your swap, on your car???

LS transmission is cable,  your car uses a hydraulic transmission.  It just means the way the shifter lever works and hooks to the transmission.

i wouldnt care about research cause it was a free motor, but some say it dont fit some say it do, im just gonna sell it ebay for 500 i really dont care about it anymore
