i have an 1989 honda civic dx/base not sure yet. i wanna put a ram air intake on it but im not sure the kinda condition my head gasket is in. the car is almost 20 years old not sure if head gasket was changed or not. would it be a bad thing to chance putting on an ram air intake on it??

also what would be the best engine to put in this car??  i was looking at the chart an it says a d16z6 would fit right in with no mod or motor mounts needed. is this true?

you wont see any gains from any type of intake on a Dual Port Fuel Injection car. Not really worth it.

if you get a D-Series, your four speed will bolt up fine...but the STD tranny has long gears which are not great for acceleration. An Si transmission takes like an extra second off your 1/4 mile time

how easy would it be to swap an engine? if i was to do this it would be my first time on my only car.  is it complicated? or is it just bolt off bolt on type of deal?

The hardest part would be wiring for multiport fuel injection.
