Default what is this thing? D15B non vtec

95 DX EJ2. Started out with D15B7 but it had a warped head. Put this D15B engine in. It runs really great and feels much stronger than the D15B7 ever did. I have always wondered what the plate block off thing was on the back side of the head. Can any body enlighten me? Is it a vtec solenoid block off plate?

idk it looks like it had a vtec solenoid but someone put a plate blocking where it would usually go...just a guess.

on another note, why is your oil filter all the way up there? unless you just have it chilling there lol
