it depends on the condition of your shocks, the springs you're getting, and how low your car will be. If you're getting something like Tein s-techs, you'll probably be fine... if you plan on getting coilover sleeves and dropping you civic as far as it can go, you probably won't be.
But be warned, even with something like s-techs, your shocks will blow prematurely. But that's like the camber wear thing... it's not taking that much life out of the parts.

alright thanks for the info guys. i plan on dropping no more then 2 inchs, hopefuly around 1-1.5". still a clean drop but not slammed especially around here haha the roads are horrible. what is a good strut/spring combo that you guys would reccomend that isnt super expensive?
Well, which combo are you looking for shock/spring, shock/coilover/spring, or full coilover?
For shock/coilover/spring I suggest:
Shock: KYB AGX
Coilover/Spring: Skunk2
OR
Shock: Koni Yellows
Coilover/Spring: Ground Controls

Bob Saget!
I have Ground Controls and KYB AGX shocks and love the combo. Of course, it'll set you back somewhere around $700, but well worth it IMO. You're going to be looking at $600-$1000 for springs and shocks anyway.

ya if you want to FULLY TWEAK your ride.... id sugest some nice coilovers....
i just bought me some GC coilovers, and now saving up for the koni yellow struts..
i liked my old Tein Stech springs BUT.... the ride wasnt completly level..... PLUS for winters id still be lowered.
which is main reason ive decided to go with ground control coilovers.... lay her down LOW in the summer and get a alignment.... and in the winter - raise it right back up for max ground clearance with just a few turns and a new alignment. 50bucks is a hell of alot cheaper than pulling off the struts and springs every season and paying for a alignment.LOL
this way the only TUFF DECISION IS...... HOW LOW SHOULD I GO.... hahahaha
don't put s techs on stock shock /struts they will blow in no time!!
(my experience!)
that depends on the condition of your stock shocks... if they're almost ready to blow, of course lowering springs are going to finish them off... if the stock shocks still have a good bit of life to them, they're not going to blow too quickly.
