B18 or B16 if you want my opinion. Will run around $3000 - $4000. Depends on mileage and condition??

the b16a2 or 3, b16b, the b18b, b18c1 or 5, and the b20b or z, will all basically drop into your car with the proper mounts. give hasport a call @602.470.0065 , they are awesome for info. regardless of which motor you choose, youll need a hydrolic transmission. go with something OBD2 for less hassle. where do you live? is smog legality an issue? and what are your plans for your car?

you might need a few harnesses, but they are pretty cheap and not a big deal.

Default RE: motor swaps?

i live in alabama so theres no smog really just a hole lot of humidity. Well i plan on making my civic a show car. I have a body kit on the way r34 front, evo rear, and boxer z1 sides. I will probably hold off putting it on until i get my carbon fiber hood, trunk, and mirrors so then i will get my car painted. But i have plenty more ideas so i dunno yet. Does anyone knoe abot the new gen Frankenstien motor swap and if i could get it? Its a K24 block/K20A head.

Hasport has done the swap and has what you'll need to mount it. Maybe you should check this out.....

if you have to have a 2.4L I-VTEC, go with the TSX motor. the piston speeds in the k24 from a crv at 8000+ RPM will send pistons flying through your hood. you could always build it, but you're getting pretty deep into the 5-digit range already.
