i think im gonna go with a d16a1 turboed for my 90 hatch, but im having problems finding rods, eagle has some but they are for different d16 series, does anyone know if all of the d16 rods are the same, im thinking of goin with eagle rods, cp pistons 9:5:1 maybe? sound good, stock crank, deff. gonna have the block sleeved, thinking of running a max of 15 psi, does this setup sound up to it, any tips on anything else i should be looking into, head packages maybe?

Yeah..that should be easy to do, but no not all d series just bolt up. You could go for a DOHC zc which is much like the D16a1 but more horse power and bolts up perfectly. You might have lucked out with the EF chassis...lighter frame at least!

so if its the jdm zc version of the american d16a1 (86-89 integra) the jdm zc will bolt rite in to a 1990 civic hatch huh??? this is very interesting seein as i have a dohc zc in my 87 integra, the engine is a lil tired, but should handle a nice rebuild, and a lil boooost?

o no what i was saying is that the zc is pretty much the same engine as the d16a1, same stroke and bore, i guess it just mounts differently, thanx for that link, know all i have to do is figure out what i wanna do, dohc zc with a turbo or a sohc built engine with a turbo, im leanin toward sohc i hate buyin stuff for zc'x and jdm parts are so hard to find, at least a sohc i can find good ole american parts
