I think there being something wrong with it just makes it easier for you to bring him down on the price a little bit. I say go for it if you like that car but be sure to look for any other problems it might have that you don't know about.

Yeah, I could definitely talk him down to $1500, especially given that he says down at the bottom fo the CL ad that he just put it into a pole at "5mph" (yeah, I know he's lying and that he was drifting and hit a pole)... the problem is getting the $1500... hopefully I can get my civic sold soon... I'm still waiting for the guy with the boosted 240 to get back to me though (hopefully he emails me in the next week) *edit: found this bad boy... for $300, I'll take it in a heartbeat if it's still for sale... I figure, a $300 car, a $700 wide-body kit (there's rear quarter panel damage I'll have to cover up), and a $2k sr20 swap and I'll be good to go (and I'll definitely at least break even on selling the civic). I kind of doubt it's still for sale, but who knows? Maybe I'll get lucky. But Cumberland is 45 minutes away, so I can go buy the car the day after he emails me back

I didn't even read the post. Sell your car and get something else. How many times are you going to change your mind about this? I mean... come on. Just get rid of your civic and get it over with. Seriously. lol

240SX are pretty nice, especially to have RWD in such a small car. But don't jump at the first one you find. I bought my civic because it was a spontaneous opportunity and it caused me alot of headaches on top of being an automatic. There is always going to be another car out there that you will like, It's not a rare car and you can find a few in every small town and lots in the cities.

I have a 93 coupe I'd trade you once I got a engine in it(with in 2-3 weeks). Body is perfect, interior is also other than a small tear on the driver seat bolster. 139,000 on the car and the newer engine will have around 60k on it with a new water, oil pump, timing chain. But it is a automatic.

^ If it weren't an auto, I'd definitely be in, but tennesse is pretty far to go for an automatic 240... thanks for the offer though. Anyways, I emailed the guy that has the 1990 hatch for $300... it's still for sale... I'm honestly considering buying it and dropping in an sr20det for $2k. I figure I can definitely get $3k out of the civic, so I'd be happy (and I'd have some money left over to make the 240 pretty). You guys think it's worth it to buy this? Like I said, $300, but it seems like it has a lot of work that needs to be done. He says there's rust (as long as it's not terrible, it's not a problem), body damage (an 8-piece wide-body kit will take care of that), a power steering leak, and apparently the motor's on it's last breaths (an sr20 swap would take care of both of those issues)... you guys think I should jump on this? I can probably go down to see the car friday or saturday, and if I wanted to buy it, having $300 with me wouldn't exactly be that hard. *edit: oh, and masonn, I'm 100% sure I'm definitely selling my civic... I have an appointment monday to take care of the wheel bearing/missing wheel stud/old brakes problems, and after that, I'll get it inspected and put a for sale sign in the window. Now it's just an issue of finding someone willing to pay at bare minimum $3k for a modded auto civic (I'm too lazy to return it to stock and sell the parts individually).
