hey people

im getting a 93 hatchback this weekend it has 154k miles on it.... im buying it for 2500 the i have another 3000 to spend on the engine i got an offer for forged pistons and rods istallation and the stuff for 1200 u think it would be smart to do that???

and another question im like a noob around cars or 4 stroke engines.... so if there r any people in my area that have ricers or if there is a car community please let me know...

Forged rods and pistons on a non-turbo motor are basically pointless. Since you consider yourself a noob around engines, I dont' really think a turbo would be best for you (until you learn a lot more about engines). I'd say buy the car and use your extra $3k for other things. A lot of people start out with an intake, a header, and a cat-back exhaust. These are small mods that even someone completely new to cars can do with normal hand-tools. They also help you get familiar with engines, how they work, and they help you learn your way around the engine bay.

And just so you know, "ricer" is usually used as a derogatory term ;)

Hey and thanks....

i have a catback exhaust an intake sparkplugs (iridium NGK) and all that i saw a turbo kit with a camshaft an intercooler a stage 1 turbo an intake and some other small pats on ebay for like 600 bucks... dont know if i should go with it or not... oh and what engine type is mine its a 93 hatchback DX.....

oh and would it be dumb to put the bumper sticker OUT OF A JOB YET? KEEP BUYING FOREIGN! on a honda????

I wouldnt suggest an ebay turbo kit save up your money and do alot of research before you go into boosting your engine.
