you have to be more specific with your goals for the car and your budget

Ok, this is not really that simple of a job.
You need to have the correct tools and KNOWLEDGE
not just heresay from us. You really need to know what you're doing before attempting one of these swaps.
and yea, like everyone else said, you need to beMORE SPECIFICabout your goals and your budget!

Example of being more specific:

I have $1000 to spend and I'm looking for 200 horsepower at the wheels.

ok let me be more specific, i have about 3 grand to tinker with this car total(at the momment**) i plan on doing interior and exterior work with my stepdad, he was a certified ford mechanic for years but doesent mess to much with imports, he has the tool and knowledge we just dont know what would be the best motor and what type of car to get one out of, like year make and model, if i need the full 3000 for under the hood i will use it, i just need to know the best way to go and what parts i will need i want the most horsepower i can get haha. but for the least amount of money (about 3000) any knowledge you have of this swap would be very appreciated. thank you

drop either a b18c1 or a c5 if you can afford one and with a bolt on or two will be closer to your 200hp goal
