What gauges are you using down there?
What methods are you using to smooth that, bondo?
And what color are you painting that after it's done

ah, I'd suggest bondo over it though for a better surface but that's just my 2 cents

if you mix your bondo with a little resin and then use your cream hardner it'll make a "milkshake" then spread it on thin and it will self level .... it saves alot of sanding..... i use this technique when i'm doing painted glass it works very well..... also if you need more strength try cutting little chunks of 2 oz chop mat and then mixing the mat in with your resin to make a paste.... then you can apply it to the inside of your project..... hope this helps....... lookin good so far

^ Just for the heads up next time, try using rage gold instead of bondo, its easy to work with, less air bubbles and sands easy...

I'll have to try that resin/filler thing next time I'm doing fiberglass work.
