imshirazy 05-02-2008, 03:03 PM What gauges are you using down there?
What methods are you using to smooth that, bondo?
And what color are you painting that after it's done
bullridingndn 05-02-2008, 04:38 PM Pressure gauges for my airride, uh sanding, sanding and more sanding, and then probably black...
imshirazy 05-02-2008, 05:05 PM ah, I'd suggest bondo over it though for a better surface but that's just my 2 cents
civicduty96 05-02-2008, 06:02 PM if you mix your bondo with a little resin and then use your cream hardner it'll make a "milkshake" then spread it on thin and it will self level .... it saves alot of sanding..... i use this technique when i'm doing painted glass it works very well..... also if you need more strength try cutting little chunks of 2 oz chop mat and then mixing the mat in with your resin to make a paste.... then you can apply it to the inside of your project..... hope this helps....... lookin good so far
mill$civic 05-02-2008, 06:24 PM ^^ Im pretty sure he already used body filler on it.
bullridingndn 05-02-2008, 09:10 PM Huh thanks for the info, never herd of the "milkshake", lol...But yeah i read it a lil late its almost done now...And Yeah i'm using bondo but thanks for the two cents...
mill$civic 05-03-2008, 07:38 PM ^ Just for the heads up next time, try using rage gold instead of bondo, its easy to work with, less air bubbles and sands easy...
imshirazy 05-04-2008, 08:53 AM hard as **** to find though
i never found it at lowes or home depot..
reaper2022 05-04-2008, 08:57 AM my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, and they're like, it's better than yours....

I'll have to try that resin/filler thing next time I'm doing fiberglass work.

I got mine at a local ,body shop paint supply, you need to go straight to the pros.
civicduty96 05-04-2008, 08:04 PM try evercoat Zgrip.... made by the same people who make rage gold it's less expensive and works just as good
