meh, you may have some rubbin depending on how fast you go over bumps...however (i used to have 17" enkei's and stechs/stock struts) and when i rubbed, it was just the tire hitting the plastic wheel well thing so it never did any damage

FlipHKD720 -> RE: question on s-techs (5/5/2008 6:24:12 PM)

^ ditto. 17"s, S-Techs, stock struts, minimal rubbing. Only on hard cornering when there is a bump i think my tire rubs my fenders a bit, but other than that no you're fine.

Okay so i'll probly install them but just incase they rub to much what size do you guys suggest for wheels and tires? also has anybody on here had any experience with stretching?

edit: double post.

croninc -> RE: question on s-techs (5/5/2008 9:15:42 PM)

i was thinking about getting these until when i got my rims just to hold me over till i could get some new struts. I plan on 16's but when you get them on I would love to see some pics since i might plan on doing this if it drops the car low enough. Coilovers are expensive!!!

mill$civic -> RE: question on s-techs (5/6/2008 3:49:46 PM)

I have s-techs, when I had 17" wheels they only rubbed when going over big bumps fast and your wheels are turned, it only happened like 4 times in the summer... you need a 40 series tire.

addiction2bass -> RE: question on s-techs (5/6/2008 7:09:41 PM)

ya depends on offset on the wheels.... on my front i only slightly rubbed the plastic inner fender clip when turning and hiting a bump... other wise no rubbing... but the rear i would rub the inner fender lip so i had to roll them.... if your scared of rubbing after puting the new springs on then i would sugest having some stock wheels ready to slap on the car after ya give the car a quick test drive...... the rear fender lip is probably the worst area to rub because its sharp metal that will eat right thru the side of the tires and thats the unrepairable area so once it cuts to deep the tires trash :(

Overurhead360 -> RE: question on s-techs (5/7/2008 8:45:04 AM)

Yeah i have the steelies to put on if that happens. i have wanted a set a of bronze grids for so long now, so maybe if they do rub i'll use it as an excuse to sell my whels and get 16s. if thats the case, if not, I'll keep the enkies.
