Hey everyone, I have a 97 Civic EX Sedan.....

The power locks just stopped working all of a sudden, the keyless entry doesn't work either.  I checked all the fuses and they are good.

Can someone please tell me what the problem is, or could be?

Thanks all in advance...

First double check whether fuse 51 under the HOOD is blown.

If the fuse is fine, the perform the power lock Control Unit Input Test detailed in the service manual:

Thanks for the response.....I looked for fuse 51 under the hood and didn't see it.  I also looked in the service manual and there is no fuse 51.  Am I missing something here?

Thanks all for your help...I really need to get this fixed.

The 96-98 manual is broken into chapters. You can also use Adobe Reader to search the text for key words. Anyway, the power locks input test is in the Electrical chapter, pages 23-224 to 23-225.

Please give specific outcomes for tests detailed in the diagram. The control unit receives battery power from the harness connector, so it''s unclear how the control unit would have power while the harness connector does not.
