Well, let's start by what have you done with your car already?
Have you already reseached this type of MAJOR upgrade?

How much did you pay for the cat? You may want to sell it and have a muffler shop put in a test pipe for you. Pay a lot less for no restriction, and if you plan on turbocharging, your exhaust will be muffled enough by the turbo so cops wont suspect the cat is gone.

Each type has it's pro's and con's. some spool up quicker, some take longer to spool, some reach full boost quicker but stop at certain rpm's etc... Got to figure out what type you want, as well as how much power you want. some popular names are garrett, turbonetics.

Heres a kit on procivic http://www.procivic.com/pages-produc...505/index.html

+1. 7th gens seem to be some of the most challenging Civics to boost, but there are a few stickies that explain why its so hard, and how to do it safely. www.dezod.com has a turbo kit made just for your car, look to pay $2k+ for it, but thats the price for boost.

so is it possible just to build 1 instead of buying 1 would it be easier?

^ you mean piece together a kit? Definitely; a ton of people around here do it. It's actually a ton cheaper (like in the $1500-$2500+ range, depend on what parts you buy and where)
