that's why you wear a helmet, knee pads and some sort of hand/wrist protection like a guard or gloves.

dito, i definitely learned my lesson from when i was young. i'd rather look like the biggest d-bag there with all the padding than to look like i just got out of the ER

lol...reminds me of my mtn biking days...would usually wind up going to the walk-in clinic about once a week (on average) for one particular summer. never stitches, but the nurses were pretty cool and better at digging out gravel from my wounds then I was. Since then I've gotten pads...and have been crashing less. Hope you heal up soon. Roadrash hurts!
