Default 2008 Civic Window Switch Question

Hi all ... I am looking at buying a 2008 Civic LX, 5 speed.

Last night on my test-drive, I tried to just roll the driver's window down an inch or so, and the only "settings" on the driver's window switch are auto-down, up, and auto-up. Is this normal, or is the switch broken?

Thanks,

-John

Really? No "partial-down" feature, just Auto-down on the Driver's window?

That seems awfully weird!

Oh well

OK... anything else I should be aware of?

I am debating between getting the LX and EX ... the differences I see are the sunroof, 4-wheel disc brakes, 6-speaker stereo, alloy wheels instead of steel ones, as well as a 60/40 split rear seat, with fold-down armrest. Is there anything else I'm missing?

Has anyone else debated this and decided on the LX over the EX? It's about $25-30 a month difference in payments.

Apparently you can start the auto-down, and then stop it wherever you like. Not a big problem - the vehicle it replaces doesn't have power windows OR locks, or a sunroof, or alloy wheels, or 4 doors, or a trunk, or a 5-speed. But what it does have is 4x4, an 8' bed, a better stereo (installed myself, lots of goodies), and the ability to run over just about anything i wanted to run over without sustaining damage. Oh, and I could park my truck anywhere, without worrying if it got dinged or hit or something.

Actually if you lightly touch it it will go down just an inch or however low you want it. Just don't fat finger it. I thought the same thing, at first, on mine (08) but when you lightly touch it you can tell where the auto kicks in and where it doesn't. It's pretty much 2 switches on the same button.

That's funny, because that's what I thought at first - and I tried that, but no dice. I will have to play around with it some tomorrow, when I pick up the car
