Default speaker question

hi guys.. i wanna replace my stock speakers with some new speakerss.. now cant i just buy the speakers and not the component system?
and what exactly is the component system for? SPEAKERS ---- COMPONENT SYSTEM .. and whats a tweeter?.. lol. thanks guys

you can just buy the speakers and wire them up.

And tweeters are basically tiny speakers designed to give you better highs (think the opposite of a sub-woofer; subs are really big speakers aimed at low notes, tweeters are really small speakers aimed at high notes).

anywhere you can mount them and wire them. usually, if you have power windows and power mirrors, you can purchase the oem tweeter plates on your doors for 6th gens and in the actual door in 5th gens.
