So I bought an Energy poly bushing kit off of ebay 6 days ago. I paid with paypal and the payment still hasn't cleared. The seller contacted me today asking why it hasn't cleared and if I had heard anything from paypal. He said he needed to know what was going on before he contacts ebay.
Frucking great! That's all i Frucking need is for someone to pursue adverse action towards me for something that is completely out of my control. I contacted paypal by phone to see what was up and the agent told me that they're updating their system and that any transactions made by way of echeck had been affected and that there was no known date for the tansaction to clear.. She said that she'd put my account on the list of accounts that had been affected. I told her that this guy was looking at pursuing adverse action against me on ebay (which has never ever happened to me before since I've always had 100% on ebay), and that it would be because paypal dicked him over and not me. She told me to have him call paypal up and see if they could remedy the situation. Needless to say I've emailed the guy twice about it in the last half hour (before and after I got off the phone with paypal) and am now waiting to see what he wants to do.
AARRRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I am so frucking pissed right now![sm=rant.gif][:@]

it's not that big of a deal, they will fix the situation, even if you contact ebay, they could work an extension on the pay period as well (maybe). and that's one of the reasons i never use echecks through paypal, they're slower and less reliable, i use direct deposit through my account, plus it's instant.

I have direct deposite and what not for my paypal. It's linked up to my checking account. In the past transactions that I've done it never took this long which worried me.
I got an email back from the guy and he said it was cool. he talked to paypal too and they said basically the same thing to him that they told me. If it doesn't clear by thursday we're gonna figure something else out.

Honestly, if you would want to buy a modded civic with all the work done for you. I pity you, thats no Honda Enthusiast.
I'm just curious as to why anyone would use echeck when you can simply use a debit card for paypal. All payments clear to the seller immediately and you never have to worry about any problems. Both times someone bought stuff off me with echeck I got pissed. I could see the little timer, meaning "pending payment". Both times it took over a week to clear when it could've happened in minutes. All the seller is saying is that he might give you negative feedback, that's all. Just explain to him the situation, but if he listed that he must receive payment within a certain time period, he may have needed that money fast and echeck is just slowing him down.

Normally I use my debit card for everything, but for some reason (maybe I'm an idiot and didnt see the option) when I signed up for a paypal account and used my checking account it wouldn't let me use my debit card. I had to fish out my checkbook and put all my info from one of my checks in to set everything up.
