Default Timers for Turbo's

is it necessary when your have turbo kit in your car, to have a Timer? i've heard some pretty bad horror stories about turbo's blowing up because no Timer was used in the car.

Default RE: Timers for Turbo's

on a DD it's convenient and safe. It lets your car idle and lets the oil settle down so there isn't a bunch of hot oil left in your turbo when your car is off so it doesn't ruin your turbo's seals. A GReddy one can be had for like $70 and is easy to install and very convenient, why not just get one ya kno? It's eitehr get a turbo timer or let your car idle for 45 seconds every time you turn it off. So if you can handle sitting in your car for 45 seconds, then don't bother, but if you've got an extra $70, i say go for it.
