Default 96 DX header

my stock headers went bad and chose to replace with an aftermarket 4-2-1. jus recently purchased a high flow cat and hopefully the conversion will fit up to the exhaust. but my question is considering i basically took a DX and converted to an EX exhaust system. will i still pass inspections or will there be a problem with moving the cat to under the car and extending the o2 sensors..

Default RE: 96 DX header

well if you wanna pass emissions still adn want an aftermarket header, you'll need (like you said) to convert your whole exhaust to EX, atleast the upper part. So get an EX header, then an EX or OEM catalytic convetter and have it welded somewhere in the exhaust system. Your secondary o2 sensor won't reach, so you'll need either an extension or an EX sensor, which i imagine would extend all the way to the cat. By putting a header on your y7 you'll remove your cat, so to pass inspections the EX or universal cat is the only way to go.
