Default Custom Exhaust questions

So I've called up a few places in town and the only one I could get a quote from was charging $300 for a custom exhaust which I think is ridiculous. I'm wondering if thats because I asked for a "custom exhaust". Should I just be asking for custom mandrel bent tubing? Another questions is how can I find out what degrees to make the bends at and such? and one more thing. I know that the connection from my downpipe to my exhaust is not welded, its bolted with that diamond shape, do I have to weld on that diamond shape seperately?

Default RE: Custom Exhaust questions

my resonator was $65, muffler was $30, custom piping/labor was $168, so like $270 when all was said and done. It was press bent, not mandrel bent, but $300 just for the piping and labor is ridiculous for sure.

For the flange to the midpipe, i had to get a custom flange for my header, but it's still bolted on there, not welded.
